Napoleon’s Tallest Teamster published!
My first published story, “Napoleon’s Tallest Teamster“—as part of the All Made of Hinges Mormon Steampunk anthology from Immortal Works—comes out today! My story is surrounded by great stories from other authors (see the table of contents here), including Dave Butler, Jay Barnson, John M. Olsen, and Lee Allred.

We’re climbing the charts on Amazon! As of 13:41 on November 27, 2018, we are at #3 on Amazon’s Hot New Releases list for Steampunk, #22 in Kindle Science Fiction Anthologies & Short Stories, #24 in Science Fiction Steampunk (for all books), and #60 in Kindle Steampunk. Not bad!
Napoleon’s Tallest Teamster submitted!
Just under the wire, I got “Napoleon’s Tallest Teamster” through its final edit and submitted to Immortal Works’ Mormon steampunk anthology. This was unlike any story I had even contemplated writing in the past, so it made me stretch and learn a lot as a writer. It had four major versions before the final story came through, and I think its a solid one.
Now it’s up to the anthology editors to decide if it is what they want. Fingers crossed!
Mormon Steampunk call for submissions
Since I know a lot of authors who write things like this (and because Dave and James are awesome), I’m boosting the signal for this. This anthology will be published through Immortal Works. You can read more about the specifics over on Dave’s blog. I plan to submit a story.
