This was posted last week to all of the backers, and now we can reveal the Kickstarter edition cover for The Horror at Pooh Corner to everyone else! I think Jessica Douglas did a fantastic job with it. There will (of course) be a few tweaks to it here and there, but this is pretty close to the final version.
Thin Air cover reveal
The latest book I’m editing, Thin Air: The Cosmic Crime Fiction of Gustavo Bondoni, has just revealed its cover! Isn’t it beautiful? I’m editing this book for Hemelein Publications, and it comes out in June 2023.
This will be the first volume in their new Indizio publication series collecting science fiction and fantasy mystery, detective, and crime fiction.
I’m looking forward to reading it again once it’s printed. I love reading a good print book.
The Horror at Pooh Corner is happening!
The Lovecraftian Winnie-the-Pooh anthology project, The Horror at Pooh Corner, is happening! We met our funding goal! Here are two related comics to celebrate:
Now we need people to help us reach the stretch goals, so basically a little more than double what we’re at right now. Please share the project far and wide.
Thank you for your support!

Outside of those times, I’ll generally be at the Hemelein Publications table near the South Tower elevators, so drop by and say hello, pick up a book or two, and hang out!
Additionally, the Kickstarter for The Horror at Pooh Corner, a Lovecraftian Winnie-the-Pooh anthology I’m editing, starts at about 9:00 am Mountain Time today, so check that out. I’m working with many amazing authors and artists to put this together, and we’d appreciate your support!
The Horror at Pooh Corner
You may not have known about it, but the day we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! The Kickstarter for The Horror at Pooh Corner begins tomorrow, Thursday, February 16, at about 9:00am Mountain Time.
I really want this project to be successful because it will allow Hemelein to do more pro-pay projects in the future. I’ve received so much for the writing community through working with all of you on all my past projects, as well as reading so many stories by you. This means that the more people who back the project, especially in the first 24 hours, the more likely it is to succeed and build organic buzz about the project.
Will you help it get off to an amazing start by sharing this information with your friends, family, and anyone else you think might be interested? I’ve attached an image you can use to help promote it. I’ve also included some text (below) that you can use when promoting it.
Here’s the text you can use:
The Hundred Acre Wood has been part of the consciousness of the world for a very long time. For most of the history of the world, it existed on the fringes of awareness, just there, in the corner of your eye. In the early days of the Twentieth Century, a well-meaning fellow by the name of Alan Milne recorded some of the adventures of the denizens of that fell place, though he did brighten the real stories a bit in order to appeal to the children of the day. Now, the real stories can be told.
The dark truth of heffalumps and woozles, what the bees are really hiding, what happened to all the adults, the story behind Pooh’s obsession with hunny, what caused Eeyore’s gloomy outlook, why Piglet is horribly afraid all the time, why Kanga and Roo really came to the Hundred Acre Wood, what Pooh and Christopher Robin discovered at the North Pole, why Eeyore’s tail must be kept attached, the significance of red birthday balloons, what caused the great flooding of the Wood, the true purpose for Pooh poetry compositions, the story of Owl’s Uncle Robert, and more. These are the kinds of stories you can expect in The Horror at Pooh Corner anthology.
These are stories terrifying and humorous (sometimes both). The veil between insanity and the Hundred Acre Wood is thin, and cosmic horrors and other fell beings frequently cross over. Find here the true stories of how these encounters affect the denizens of the Hundred Acre Wood.
I’m looking forward to continuing to work with all of you in the future, and thank you very much for sharing this information far and wide!
